It's A Boy!

Well, as you can see we had the baby. Jaxon Tyler Robinson was born at 1:20 PM on June 13 th. He weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz. and was 21 inches. I would have to say that this was my easiest birth yet. Thank goodness. TC and AJ were so excited that I could here them screaming over the phone. They couldn't wait to come and see their little baby brother. Dakota, on the other hand, is only happy when I am not holding Jaxon. She is very jealous right now and very possessive of her mama. Jaxon is such a great baby and you hardly ever know he is there. We feel very blessed to have four healthy children and what a wonderful Father's Day gift for Steve. I know most of our blog readers are female, but I would like to say a late Happy Father's Day to all of those great dads out there and those that are longing to be great dads. I am grateful for Steve and the wonderful dad that he is. He works hard to take care of us and we have so much fun together. I am also thankful for my own father, who has been there for me all of my life and has taught me so much, along with my mother. I am also thankful for my father-n-law who I believe has, with his mother, made Steve the great man that he is. I know that the love and respect that Steve has for me, has been taught by example in his home. Ok, so much for my babbling. I just have a lot to be thankful for right now. Thank you to all of you who have been so kind and have been thinking about and praying for us. And, now that I will not ever have enough sleep again, you may not see another posting, except pictures, for awhile.

Willing and Ready!

I have gotten really bad about this blogging business but life has gotten so busy. I can't really say it is a fun busy either. I just keep trying to find shortcuts on all the cleaning, laundry, and cooking semi- healthy meals without too much to clean up. Let me know if you have any tips.

Well, we are here in my last few days. The doctor moved up my induction date to Friday the 13th. I am progressing very well and they want to induce so that I can stop my medication in time to get an epidural. I have gone completely natural once and I don't really want to do that again.

We had Steve's parents here over Memorial Day weekend. I wished they could have stayed longer. Most people don't seem to get along with their n-laws, but I love my n-laws. We took them to the Aquarium and IMAX. I can't say that we chose the best imax movie because it wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be for a 3-D. Dolphins and Whales was an educational movie but TC and AJ were asleep by the end of the 45 minute movie. Dakota enjoyed getting in and out of her seat though. We love the Aquarium. My favorite has to be the penguins or the sharks. Who is not drawn to sharks, come on!

So this week I am trying to get things to a point that things will run smoothly for next week. Does this mean a lot of mac n cheese for the kids? We shall see. If you have any ideas for quick, easy, and healthy meals, just let me know. I would greatly appreciate any ideas.

Hopefully, my next blog will have a picture of Jaxon on it. I need to get back to real life now. The kids are begging for attention.

Answer for Tara!

No, I wasn't pregnant before you left. I found out in October that we were having #4. Dakota was only 9 months old at the time and what a shock it was. Needless to say, I will have my hands full. I thought they were full with just TC and AJ but low and behold!

My induction date is set for the 17th not the 7th. My body is ready to have the baby now but mentally I just don't know if I am ready. You would think that having 8 brothers and 30 something nieces and nephews would have prepared me for this but I just can't take that many kids talking or screaming at me at the same time. Maybe Jaxon will be a very quiet child. Do I have that kind of luck?

I asked Steve how he would feel if I painted our bedroom purple. He told me that he would feel like less of a man. So I decided to use it as my accent color instead.

My sewing machine has really seen a workout! Yes, I made my curtains, bedskirt, and pillows. Don't expect too much more from me though. My next project is to finish painting the stairwell - Scary!

Maybe I will let Steve choose the color to paint our bedroom walls. I think he deserves it.
